Camera, a device used to capture photographs for your memories. Traditionally by taking shots and save it in the photographic film. But today the most of the consumers shifted to digital cameras as the digital era arrived. Films replaced by memory cards, chemicals of lightroom replaced by computer software twitching of Adobe Photoshop.
In 2000s when the digital camera was new, normal consumers started purchasing compact camera for photography. Later in decade as soon as soon as these smartphones introduced in the market with excellent CMOS sensor camera but that were sub par. Now currently phones come with as big sensors as compact point and shoot much better in that much resolution of size.
In 2010s Consumers start focusing more in smartphones for day to day to day shots. For a camera companies start more focusing in High zoom bridge camera for all round performance for enthusiastic photography and starting range DSLRs for semi-pro quality within a budget.
And now a totally new horizon of Mirrorless Interchangeable Camera has begun. They are a replacement for consumers who are using an entry-level DSLR and like brilliant quality images with the interchangeable-lens feature, but want something that is lighter and smaller that can be quarter of the size of some DSLRs.
Buying a camera totally depends on the user. There are basically four types of camera buyer I have classified.
- Beginners: If you don’t to be fuss around settings and just want to turn on and take images in automatic mode. For them I suggest to buy a good compact camera or an excellent camera phone will do the job. Apple iPhones, Samsung Galaxy, Sony Xperia are always the best options to go with without any thought. With overall top DXO scores. For compact cameras Sony Cybershot and Panasonic Lumix come with best quality lenses for compact users.
- Wannabes: These are mostly for the young audience who want to be in photography enthusiastic in the world of photography. They just want to learn how to use the camera in different setting modes. For those users a high zoom bridge camera is perfect partner. As these types of camera will help you learn the basics of taking shots without spending money on interchangeable lenses. These camera are good enough for the macro photography to high zoom wildlife photography as a big telephoto lens is embedded in it
- Entry level DSLR users: The buyer who knows all the basics of photography. Aperture, ISO, Exposure and Shutter Speed control for perfect shots in any lighting condition. This is the way to go with. As I have explained for those who don’t like to carry bulk around have now the option of mirrorless cameras.
There are three major brands in the world of interchangeable cameras: Nikon, Sony and Canon have options of different sets of lenses. These cameras support most but not all features of a professional camera like they don’t have full frame capable.
- Professional High End DSLR users: These are the true professional photographers. It comes with all features till date for the premium photo quality images. They are full frame camera that means no framing while taking shots. Example 50mm lens shows exactly without getting cropped in frame. Much more powerful image processing, bigger and exclusive camera sensor. For that you need to pay in lacs with a good kit.
Their name isn’t actually Alt-J, it’s Latin symbol delta ∆ that is created by typing holding down the “alt” and “J” keys on a keyboard while using a Mac computer. You can pronounce it as alt-j as well.
Band is quite eccentrically cool about everything. Even with their past names. Originally Daljit Dhaliwal, named after British news anchor and then later The Film which they found a band of the same name in US. And hence alt-J. The band was formed in 2007 by four group of friends who met at Leeds University.
∆ is one of the most creative yet commercial English alternative rock band of today. Their songs are avant-grade artistic that can makes you addictive with the melodious music, repetitive beats and a highly poetic lyrics.
Joe Newman, the lead singer cum guitarist. Gwil Swainsbury, guitarist and bassist (left now). Cameron Knight as guitarist and bassist. Gus Unger-Hamilton on keyboards. Thom Green as drum banger.
Currently they have only two studio albums ‘An Awesome Wave’ and ‘This Is All Yours’ of which they have received number of awards and critical claims. They get big fame by their original soundtrack ‘Buffalo’ for the Academy award winning movie Silver Lining Playbook.
The best thing about their style of songs is hat they can write songs on anything they love. It may be their favorite movie Léon: The Professional. Like they sung Leon and ‘Matilda’ based characters of that film. In the film, Matilda returns home from the grocery store to find her family murdered.
Again one more is “The Gospel of John Hurt” on the scene from the famous scene Alien (1979) where an alien burst out of John Hurt’s chest. This shocking sequence drives home the overwhelming nature of the narrator’s feelings. Fun fact is that it was written in the shower.
Song ‘Arrival of Nara’, ‘Nara’, ‘Leaving Nara’ is about supporting gay marriage and kind of saying ‘it’s ok if people want to marry people of the same sex as them because they’re not hurting anybody’. …people should be allowed to live like a deer in Nara, a town in Japan where the band visited once.
Their is one track ‘Every Other Freckle’ from their last album which is considered to be the most passionate and sexiest song of this generation. With lines like ‘You’re the first and last of your kind (Pull me like an animal out of a hole!) and ‘I want to be every button you press.’
For ‘Every Other Freckle’ song there are two versions of artistic music videos. One boy version with a hunky dude and other girl version with a next door beauty. You can check out online based on your sexual preferences.
The best thing about alt-J is about their gig. They are just made for entertaining crowd in their live performances. The crazy sounds with flickering lights on the setup will surely make anyone go gaga over it.
Other mind freaking songs are ‘Breezeblocks’, ‘Warm Foothills’ ‘Hunger of the Pine’, ‘Breezeblocks’, ‘Fitzpleasure’ by ∆. So go and check it out now.
When you look at the new collection of casual shirts and Tees for men at koovs, you possibly go pupule (crazy in Hawaiian) over it. Each and every shirt of koovs looks incredibly trendy and fabulous in this hot and humid monsoon season.
