supermarket-main1
Alright! everyone goes to super market to purchase the products of all your daily needs. As this is the place where you can get all the stuffs under one roof. Almost everything from groceries, deli, dairy, stationary, electronics, clothes, or even toilet paper. But there are certain things that you should keep in mind to be a smart customer. Because shopping in supermarket can be very beneficial or a trap as well. The whole supermarket is the concept is to make you buy their products that you never needed by display and sale. Here is the list of 20 things you should know before you shop smartly and wisely.
1.) Always notice the sale products in ad voucher and showcase:
When you first enter the super market you should be know about the good deals and sales. If not first notice that in the sale showcase of the day or week. This will make you very specific about your savings.
2.) Make a list of things you want to buy:
There should be a list of products you actually need it. Many people forget the things they came for as it is a place that can distract anyone. It can make you purchase the things that you don’t really wanted and things you really need. Be fix with your budget and move your cart quickly.
3.) Always keep your carry bag:
They are gonna charge you few bucks for a carry bag depending on the size. So it is smarter if you always keep couple of big shopping bags in your car. It not only save environment but also additional unnecessary thing in your house.
4.) Beware of almost getting expired or best before products:
Many times we have seen that the products that has been placed in the sale are either defective, almost getting out of date in a month or so. So be smart and check the manufacturing date first before putting it in your cart in excitement.
5.) Fresh Products always are in the back of cabinet:
You will always notice that the more fresh products are in the back of the less fresh products. It is simply way of putting goods in the supermarkets. As they want to make you sell out the least fresh product first as it will be best before soon. So be smart and put the product from the back of the row.
6.) Overpriced Organic food products:
Their is a separate counter in a supermarket where you will find food grains, pulses, spices etc in a special packing of organic level. These products are supposed to be said unprocessed and healthy. But for this you need to pay much more, sometimes even twice the amount of normal packing. These organic products can be purchased from farms and small shops in much less price. So it would be better if you avoid and pay less there.
7.) Keep away from the promoters:
There are two types of assistance in the supermarket. First are normal assistant and other are just sales men also known as promoters. They just get target to sell the product of which they are getting paid of by making you fool about other better products with higher sell. So never be trapped in their lies.
8.)  Don’t be afraid to complain:
Many times we have seen that the assistants are not helping much. They might be flirting with other employees or having chit-chat funtime. If they are not able to help as your need. Never be hesitate to complaint against him to his manager. Even if the manager is not professional. Write an email to the company about the store.
9.) Alternative products of same type:
Many products of smaller companies. It might be worse in quality, some defect. It will never be as good as the original product. It will be definitely cheaper in price or even with buy one get one.  So move away from that.
10.) Don’t waste time in moving your trolley:
Many times it is seen people spend way more time than they should in supermarket. There are a lot of stuffs in attractive display for making you buy more. So it is better to avoid moving your trolley smoothly and walk fast with your specific made up list.
11.) Don’t pay more for goods that are cheaper in other stores:
Usually it is seen that the cookwares and glasswares are cheaper in their specific store with more variety. Nappies, padding and cosmetics in chemist shop. Light bulbs in electric shops have more warranty and lesser price. These supermarkets just keep it for those who are lazy enough to go other than one roof. Don’t buy unless or until it is in great sale.
12.) Electronics section can be a disappointment:
These big supermarkets only get the specific electronic goods that they buy in bulk. You will not get much variety of models to choose from like you do in electronic showroom shop. Even in sale if you not specific about the model or compared with other brands, don’t buy it.
13.) Pre cut veggies and fruits are trap:
You might be an ravager cook. Takes time to cut vegetables and fruits, have no time as working person or just lazy enough to pay less for uncut food. These pre cut food is generally worse product of food. It has been cut so many stale or over ripen fruits and veg get also included in the packet. Because these stuff will never be sold if placed uncut and lose.
14.) Never buy fruits from the supermarket:
Remember that old 90s sitcom, Seinfeld show? That character Kramer said “Never buy fruits from the supermarket! The apples are mealy, the oranges are dry… I don’t know what’s going on with the papayas!”
Exactly these fruits might be worse than the local fruits shops. But if you are specific about apples. It might be better as in our hot summers in India. Apple should be stored strictly in refrigerator that is more possible in these supermarkets. But always check before you put in cart as it can be of months too.
15.) Avoid looking at the stuffs in the billing counter:
This the best place for customers to distract and make them put in their cart by supermarket. Chocolates, toffees, chewing gums, toys, or the snacks that are not selling. This is for kids who are getting bored and annoying their parents to put these stuffs more.
16.) Don’t hesitate to keep aside wrong products while billing:
Sometimes we put some products by mistake or some other customers think that this is their trolley and put products in it. Sometimes you realize that you already have alternative of it at your home. So always check that while billing and keep aside unwanted products.
17.) Always ask of parking ticket free offer:
At some certain amount of shopping many supermarkets offer you free parking ticket. So always ask the cashier about it during billing.
18.) Avoid cashier’s offer of some stupid card:
Many times in supermarket. The cashier asks for some useless smart card to purchase that will give you like 10 paisa per 1000 rupees you purchase. It is just a card to keep space in your wallet or purse. So simply avoid and move fast.
19.) Ask for free home delivery:
After some certain amount or you purchased a lot and it is difficult to carry by you alone. Ask for the home delivery option. Many supermarkets do it for free of cost. They will deliver at your home address all you have to do is keep a slip of that.
20.) Always check your bill:
It has been noticed that many times cashier do wrong billing as they put the same product twice or some wrong product code into your billing list. Many times it is of pricing of more amount and you buy smaller package. It could be computer generated mistake of price. So always check your bill as early as possible.

Vicco Turmeric Ayurvedic Cream.!!Vicco-Turmeric-900x900This article is all about what sh1t we usually see in our big fat Indian weddings. Yes Shaadi, that way in which parents of the bride and grooms wants to get away from their children and finally let their life live in their way independently. Band baja-wala, Nagede-wala, phool-wala, singers, DJs, Indian-wear fashion Industry, catering-wala, nayi (barber), pundito ki roti ka aadhar. Ression ho ya Inflation shaadi mubarak zindabaad! Indian wedding are not about the bonding of two straight people. It is about the bonding of two families where couples have to attach with every other family member including that buddhi dadi who speaks gibberish and on liquid diet. For couple’s family. The first thing they think about wedding is the organization of the ceremony. In working middle class parents have to arrange a separate fixed deposit bank account so that they can easily pay all the spendings without installments and all that financial shit. Because even if the family can not afford the spendings of their normal day to day.

This is what google search result comes out when you type Indian Wedding.

They all do so much just for the pseudo show off. Inflation might have burned a hole in mango people’s pocket but the Indian wedding is as big and fat as ever. For all other family members and relatives. It is all about heavy shopping, food and floor breaking dance. So first I tell you all about this heavy shopping specially of outfits and accessories. IMG_20130414_195302-1 Shopping, shopping and more Goddamn shopping. Specially with these women. Sorry girls! I am not some kind of jerk or who hate all this culture and tradition but yes this shit all happen when a typical Indian lady do prepare after listening about someone is getting married. 😀 Lagun ke liya yeh dress. Shagun ke liye woh wali saree. Mehndi ke liya woh wala kurta. Sangeet mai chiffon wali saree. Jaymala wali night woh naya designer lehnga. Shoes, sandals, watches, bangles, perfumes, and lot of more expensive stuffs that I am familiar with. So overall it becomes hours and time and money and never ending satisfaction. Because no matter how much you spend, how gorgeous you look, the next lady would definitely appearing better. 😛

After writing this I’ve very less chances of getting laid this week) For men it is the most the moment of chaos and usually takes very less time in comparison to women. Most of the people use to wear suit and tie, kurta pajama or sherwani. For this all they need either go to retail outlets and simply purchase as per their size. But if the person is very fussy about the what he wears or of abnormal size. He has to give to tailor master and have to wait for weeks to get. Not the all like women but most the bachelors and some freaks. Most prefer to wear kurta pajamas and try to look like Shahrukh of K3G even when they have a face of Saif  in Roadside Romeo. 😀 IMG_20130414_200410-002 Advertisement: Bajradanti bajradanti Vicco bajradanti..!! Bajradanti!! 😀 vicco_vajradanti_medium-500x500 After meaningless shopping of dressings. Here comes the arrival of the both parties. Ladkiwale “The bride’s side” and Ladkewale “The groom’s side”. Traditionally Ladkiwale arrange the arrangements for all the ceremonies and functions. Now here it comes the main event where everyone is gets ready with all glittering and sleekly face. Double facial, heavy makeups, loads of precious jewelry to show off. Normal people do wass up? and some people started to do up wass! 😉 Yes, the fast of not eating so that they can enjoy different different varieties of culinary at the same evening. Usually in Indian wedding locally invited people mostly are not interested to know about the bride and groom, what they do, where they are from, how much money they spend on everything else. They all eat four times of their regular appetite and then say aaj toh *kuchh zyada ho gya*. (Clapping).

lots-of-choices-on-the-buffet1

Different people, different way to enjoy the meal. Non-vegan mostly attack on the chicken dishes and eat like they are eating after years or will not able to eat after that. Many of you guys familiar with tradition Punjabi way of eating where the person take a regular plate, fill up with a pound of rice or pulao. The classical way is to keep it in the shape of some conical mountain. No matter what they like, know about the dish. All the gravies on the top, middle with dried dishes, the sides are filled with naan, puri or any other kinda bread. They try to fill serve everything in their plate/s.

So that next time whenever they meet to someone, they can not say I didn’t tried that, I missed that or make fun of someone who didn’t tasted. 😛 After food here comes the time to dance. The part of the time when every creature wants to express that they have guts to dance like MJ, Usher, Shakira, Beyonce. In the end of the day, they have to deal with Govinda, Sri Devi, Anil Kapoor swag. In weddings no matter a person ever dance in rest of other moments but he or she have to dance like a freak. From a 3 year old who just stated to walk properly an uncle with all grey hair. Just dance like they won some big battle and it’s time to celebrate until they collapse. In typical Punjabi weddings or say a free booze party where usually men drink like they will never ever gonna get a glass of liquor to drink in rest of their life. After drinking glasses all they go crazy and dance in, what say.. Just daans!. -_-

Usually the dance of the family members of the groom side (Ladkewale) starts from the classical ceremony called “Ghudsavari” where groom riding a mare comes with his side and with the dancing shoes on the public road. In arrangements a group of so called band comes with the party. All the Nagadawala beats their Nagada (big Indian drum) and few big military hand drum sturdily no matter where they are, it’s incredible India. Mostly in Indian weddings a wedding singer is also arranged who is the best example of the people who think they can do all the job of the day in couple of hours. I mean they don’t have any singing talent or so but all they do is sing the limited number of bollywood songs that they mugged up. Though the main concern of them is not singing, as they are can do voice of both male and female, yea right! they also sing songs by female artists by making a painful ear bleeding high pitch voice. Although wherever you go in North India. They always sing these limited number of songs for sure whithout it no wedding can be finished. Songs like “Naagin, the snake song”, Aaj mere yaar ki shaadi hai”, “Kudi Punjaban dil chura ke”, “Kajra re” “Munni Badnaam Hui” etc in the as high volume as they can arrange.

Here are a couple of clips of Indian wedding dances that you may like to enjoy. 😀

Ehh! Bhaisaab Thoda Toh Kam Karo Na!

Image

Hello! follow readers. As we are all familiar with the thing called bargaining. Yes, the moul bhav. It can be said that it comes in our part of culture since population explosion after independence day. We can see easily see in Indian market how typical middle age women quarreling about the pricing of the products specially in groceries and clothing stores. Believe me most of them know this art of bargaining and how to play with the psychology of keeper to sell the desired product as minimum bucks. Since two decades the period of shopping malls, showrooms and branded shoppes have raised a lot and from a lustrum these online shopping sites like flipkart, myntra, jabong etc. where these people can not bargain or adjust the billing. But the real working class India shops majority of items form them.

sad bear 02

Here like if I talk about my aunt who belongs to business family, has everything good financially. But she is mother of stinginess, hence rich who can spend and invest big money. She is an urban hardcore bargainer who can bargain that much that the shopkeeper have no choice but to sale it for zero profit or even loss in the case untrained keepers. Whenever she enters to some old shop people get afraid of her. I think they even hide the related products to get sold by her. Some sabhiwalas even refuse to sell their veggies. Unlike normal people who purchase upto 2-3 shirts or pants at a single time after few months. She buys them once a year in stocks like 8-10 shirts and pants for whole family in a single time. So that  she can get more and more discount in a bigger bill.

Here are the few slangs that Indian people use to say while bargaining:

“Arre bhai, itna zayada rate mat lagao.”

“Itna mehnga, tourist dikhte hai hum kya?”

“200 rupey ka! mai sirf 50 dongi bechna hai toh becho” ( move on and he will sell it in your desired price)

“Itni sabzi li hai, zara mirchi, dhania, adrak toh ese hi de dona.”

“Achha total 330 ka hai, yeh lo 300 rupey, sahi hai itna toh chalta haina.”

“kya? 400 rupey ka, waha toh 200 mai same milta hai, sahi lagao warna waha se lelenge.”
